Much to Be Thankful for

Today, ESPN.com is running a pole asking, "What "F" are you most looking forward to today? Family, Food, or Football?" My guess is that football will win by a landslide. I won't lie, I'm looking forward to 3:15 when the Cowboys and Saints take the field. Right now, we're getting the food ready and will definitely eat too much for lunch. We'll spend some time today together as a family and with some friends for whom we are thankful. It's going to be a really good day!

But there is an "F" we often forget to mention in our giving of thanks...our FATHER. Today, as you give attention to all the other "Fs", don't forget to stop and reflect on all that God has blessed you with, how He has delivered you, healed you, SAVED YOU, set you free! If you get a chance today, read II Samuel 22. David sets the example of what a thankful heart looks like as he praises God, our Heavenly Father for the specific blessings in his life.

As you Give thanks, get specific and bless the Lord today, with a heart of genuine gratitude!

True Identity

The past few weeks have been defining for so many people. It's exciting to see how God works in people's lives to set them free. God never intended for us to be prisoners of our past. Praying God continues to set us free and to empower us to live out of the identity he created us for!

Jesus said, "You are the Light of the World....Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
